How to remove background distractions in water

I have not posted anything in a while, how do I submit a image for a possible lesson. I would know the best way to solve this. I have a great shot of a Sandhill Crane but want to remove the background Cranes. The problem is the reflection. I also wondered if there is something in Photoshop that allows me to expand the canvas on top and get the top of the feathers in place. My main task I need is to remove birds and reflection in the water except the subject, thanks
