The general topic of this lesson was suggest by a Masters Academy member. We'll explore a multitude of techniques for darkening the edge of an image in an attempt to make the central portion of the image more attractive, which is known as vignetting. I do most of my vignetting using Adobe Lightroom Classic, although it can also be done using Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) or Photoshop, so we'll explore all those options. In this video I mentioned a separate lesson that covered cropping, which you can watch here.Note: The downloadable practice image for this lesson have been compressed into a .zip archive. That means you will need to double-click on the file after downloading to extract its contents before attempting to use the image in Photoshop or Lightroom.
NOTE: Some Windows users have reported issues accessing the video playback controls. While we're working on the issue, here's a Temporary Workaround: Click "Introduction" in the table of contents to the right of the video and then immediately click within the video to give it focus. After doing so, use the spacebar to play/pause the video and the left/right arrow keys to scrub forward or backward within the video.
