A random tour through the various features relating to using Layer Masks to limit where an area is visible. You'll learn various methods for viewing a mask, tips for modifying complex masks, as well as exploring features such as Layer Mask Hides Effects, Unlinked Masks and how to convert Blending Sliders into a Layer Mask. Don't try to remember them all... just try to incorporate the ones that best align with how you work so you can become more effective when using Layer Masks.The practice images have been compressed into a .ZIP file, so you'll need to double-click on it to extract its contents before attempting to use the files in Photoshop.
NOTE: Some Windows users have reported issues accessing the video playback controls. While we're working on the issue, here's a Temporary Workaround: Click "Introduction" in the table of contents to the right of the video and then immediately click within the video to give it focus. After doing so, use the spacebar to play/pause the video and the left/right arrow keys to scrub forward or backward within the video.
