Selections will allow you to isolate a particular area within your image so that you can adjust it independently from the rest of the image. They will also allow you to apply a filter to an isolated area or combine multiple images into complex composite images. We’ll explore a wide variety of features that are essential to creating precise selections including: Marquee, Quick Selection, Lasso, Magic Wand and Quick Mask Mode as well as how to combine the tools to tackle complex images. Selections are an absolutely essential feature that even expert Photoshop users continuously learn about. This session will save you a lot of time since you’ll be learning from someone who has used Photoshop for over 30 years.Note: This lesson does not have a PDF companion guide available. We include PDFs with all new lessons and will add them to lessons in our archive as time permits.
NOTE: Some Windows users have reported issues accessing the video playback controls. While we're working on the issue, here's a Temporary Workaround: Click "Introduction" in the table of contents to the right of the video and then immediately click within the video to give it focus. After doing so, use the spacebar to play/pause the video and the left/right arrow keys to scrub forward or backward within the video.
