This week's lesson shows you how I automated the process of exporting images from Lightroom and then creating a layout of the resulting images in Photoshop. In the process, you'll learn about unique features in the Lightroom Export dialog box as well as the following features in Photoshop: Actions, Pattern Fill Layers, Groups, Layer Styles, Frames, Guide Layouts, Placed Smart Objects, Auto-Select Layers, Smart Filters, and Layer Alignments.Ultimately, the lesson is less about the specific project being created, than learning how I combine a multitude of features in Photoshop.WARNING: Running the action that is created during this lesson on a folder of images with names that do not match those used within the action will cause Photoshop to bomb.
NOTE: Some Windows users have reported issues accessing the video playback controls. While we're working on the issue, here's a Temporary Workaround: Click "Introduction" in the table of contents to the right of the video and then immediately click within the video to give it focus. After doing so, use the spacebar to play/pause the video and the left/right arrow keys to scrub forward or backward within the video.
