This lesson includes a layered template file that you can use to simulate the look of a Polaroid transfer. That's a traditional analog photographic effect that produces a textured image with an irregular edge. As a bonus, I also show how a mask was created that is used within the template. I didn't think to demo how the distortion was applied, but it was via a technique known as a Displacement Map, which has been covered in an earlier lesson.
NOTE: Some Windows users have reported issues accessing the video playback controls. While we're working on the issue, here's a Temporary Workaround: Click "Introduction" in the table of contents to the right of the video and then immediately click within the video to give it focus. After doing so, use the spacebar to play/pause the video and the left/right arrow keys to scrub forward or backward within the video.
