This lesson covers what might indicate that your Photoshop preferences should be reset. We also look at what is retained and lost when resetting preferences, how to backup your preferences and how to transfer them between machines. I also show what I usually change after resetting my preferences and describe the contents of both the preferences and presets folder.Note: There are no downloadable practice files related to this lesson.
NOTE: Some Windows users have reported issues accessing the video playback controls. While we're working on the issue, here's a Temporary Workaround: Click "Introduction" in the table of contents to the right of the video and then immediately click within the video to give it focus. After doing so, use the spacebar to play/pause the video and the left/right arrow keys to scrub forward or backward within the video.
