Firefly Image 5 takes a distinctly different approach from other models, such as Nano Banana, by supporting instructive edits. With this capability, it can adjust the color and contrast of an image, perform retouching, or make targeted changes while preserving all the original details in the the photo.

That is in contrast, other models which noticeably alter the overall appearance of affected areas, rendering faces and objects in ways that make them look similar but not identical to the originals.
