In this lesson you'll see how Dodge & Burn layers can be used to add dimension to flatly lit faces.Note: You might notice that my foreground color reset to black multiple times during this lesson. That was because resetting the foreground/background colors is a step in the action I was applying just in case you chose to use the paintbrush instead of the dodge & burn tools. Feel free to expand the exaction (via the Actions panel) and turn off the checkbox that appears to the left of the Reset Swatches step to prevent that from happening.
NOTE: Some Windows users have reported issues accessing the video playback controls. While we're working on the issue, here's a Temporary Workaround: Click "Introduction" in the table of contents to the right of the video and then immediately click within the video to give it focus. After doing so, use the spacebar to play/pause the video and the left/right arrow keys to scrub forward or backward within the video.
