Learn the three different methods for adding color to black & white images. You'll see how to add subtle color toning to make a B&W image feel warm or cool, as well as how to fully tranform an image into one that looks like a normal colot photograph. The key to adding realistic color to an image has less to do with how it is applied, then how to selectively remove it from the brightest and darkest areas of the image.Note: One of the downloadable practice files has been compressed into a .ZIP file. You will need to double-click on that file to extract its contents before attempting to use the file in Photoshop.
NOTE: Some Windows users have reported issues accessing the video playback controls. While we're working on the issue, here's a Temporary Workaround: Click "Introduction" in the table of contents to the right of the video and then immediately click within the video to give it focus. After doing so, use the spacebar to play/pause the video and the left/right arrow keys to scrub forward or backward within the video.
